Wal-Mart for bulk .22LR, Handgun FMJs, and bulk 12-gauge target loads.

Ammunitiontogo for handgun, shotgun, and rifle defense ammo as well as cheap .223 and x39.

Natchezss for handgun FMJs if I already bought everything at both Wal-Marts. ;)

I am noticing that most of the replies are people buying practice ammo at Wal Mart, and buying SD ammo from an online retailer like ammunitiontogo.com (as I do). Small wonder considering that Wal Mart has high quality major-brand factory ammo for less than even gun show reload prices, and that LGS's SD ammo prices are 2-3x that of ammunitiontogo.com.

This makes me wonder why some LGS's don't wake up to the fact that they are really losing a whole lot of business over their stubborn insistence that there is some intangible about doing business with them that justifies exorbitantly high prices on ammo.

The owner of surplusammo.com has recently opened up a new store here in western Washington called Surplus Ammo & Arms. They've been THE source for local gunshow ammo purchases in the area; they're located in Tacoma, WA right behind Tactical Tailor for those looking to check them out. :)

Just ordered from AmmunitionToGo. Prompt service, fair prices, fair shipping charge. Can't ask for more than that.

Depends on the caliber. You can't really trust anybody to have the lowest prices on an item any longer.

But in general, I go to Grafs, Cheaper than Dirt, Sportsman's Guide, Natchez, MidwayUSA, AIM Surplus, Cabela's, Georgia Arms, and god knows who else. Shop them all every time you buy. The competition is the only thing that will make the price drop now that commodities have fallen.

Primers.....gun show's and Wideners, I can get 10,000 Wolf SP delivered for $210.:)

Powder = Sportsmans Warehouse, very good prices around here.

Reloading Components = Midwayusa.com, very fast shipping, I usually hit their sales.

Rifle Ammo = www.sportsmansguide.com, best prices going on Wolf 7.62x39.

22LR = Wal-Mart, Federal bulk packs

I have bought ammunition from several online vendors along with wal-mart and academy sports.

The online vendors all shipped quickly and the shipping was average. The vendors that I have used are:
Graf & sons
Natchez shooter supply
Classic arms
ammunition to go
cheaper than dirt
Midway
J&G sales

I have also bought from individuals with mixed results. Just beware when ordering.

I reload my own practice ammunition.I am paying about 12.00 for 100 148gr. wad cutters. I use Buffalo Bore 158gr. lswchp's std pressure in my carry guns. I have bought them from Midway and directly from Buffalo Bore. Not the cheapest but it shoots well in my guns.

I've never seen anything like buy 50 get 50 FREE @ wal-mart. We buy in bulk. when we buy on-line. The stores never have the amount we want instock.

Shipping is the same as gas costs.
