I don't know for sure, but I believe some of the 'powers that be' for FBMG hang out on THR
If you do, and you see this, please let me give you a bit of advice
Fire your web page guy.
Browsing your website the picture cuts off the first letter or number of your product titles, and the descriptions below are often not enough to allow me to figure out what the item is
sure, I can figure out that eft handed AR-15 is left handed AR-15, and R front sight tool is AR front sight tool
but some items, like 0 round siaga magazine, is that 10, 20, or 30? or " high rise rings I am guessing it is 1 inch as opposed to 30mm, but I don't really know, maybe it the lost part is the hight of the ring.
this just leads to frustration, i'd just say 'screw this' and go back to google if I didn't think FBMG guys where here on the THR
The 'stars' from the ratings are also frequently placed wrong, making the info hard to read.
Further, you have a wide variety of pistols and rifles, yet the catagory is shown as Firearms(0) even though if you go 3 steps farther in, you get to
Siaga (21) Rock River (0) Barrett (2) etc etc.
I cannot see how this can be helping sales
Also, you have a spot where people's comments are posted. A good webmaster looks at these, and if somoene is complaining, they should tell you so you can make it better. When I see "20 rd. Magazine for Saiga 308 fits perfectly, absolutely no problems. First magazine arrived within two weeks. It has been over two months and the second magazine has not arrived.
Michael" It makes me nervous to order anything. Ideally, this would be followed by a comment from FBMG explaining it is backordered, or saying something, expecially if you can get him to post a second comment of 'it eventually showed, and was as good as the first!' or something
Also, this comment is for 20 rd mag BODY, well make that 0 rd mag body. Unless you read all the way down, it sounds like a normal functional mag, and it is listed right below the 30 rnd mag, (out of stock) it would be really easy to miss that 'body' and assume you are getting a fully functional mag, even the feedback makes it sound that way. Besides, with all the accidental cropping going on with your website, if you see the two entries
0 round magazine
0 round magazine body
might you not suspect that the word body had been snipped off the first entry as well?
Put the note that is JUST a body FIRST on the description, and with a different font. If you sell the parts like follower, spring, etc, put in a link, or state that you dont' sell them, because that's the first question that will spring into people's minds
Do you think your web guy is just incompetent, or is he trying to do a bad job because he is anti gun? I have heard something from a gun magazine company where a layout person left for a slightly lesser paying job because they didn't approve of guns, so you never know what people are doing
And finally, grab a digital cam and start getting more images. With your text descriptions cropped, they might as well be cropped by a picture rather than a 'no image available' box. Further, many people are visual, and can find what they are looking for by scanning pictures than reading the text descriptions. To complicate matters, many people assume 'no image available' means you haven't got any on hand to take a picture of, so they don't even bother clicking to see. Or they assume it is an out of date abandoned website.
