I've reloaded nearly 50 years use the FCD on all pistol loads can see no affect on accuracy but function is same as factory. Turns out a better round IMO but I'm big on freedom to chose on parts.:D
The FCD has not been around for anything close to 50 yrs (I think it was introduced sometime in the nineties) so your argument form authority doesn't hold much authority.:neener:

Just sayin':D

Sheesh! I'm a huge Lee fan. I load on a Loadmaster progressive and own a Lee turret. Some of Lee's stuff of absolutely great. The FCD just isn't one of those items. I won't let one of them get near any of my lead boolits. I have no use for separate crimp and seating operations. All of my bulk loading happens on a Loadmaster and I use a RCBS bullet feeder in station 4. I have no extra room and no extra need for a separate crimp step. It's entirely unnecessary. If you are bulging your brass you are doing something wrong.

Yeah, you were seriously over crimping. The truth is that it had nothing to do with the FCD. You could have done he same thing with a regular crimp die.
Really! ;)

You were blaming the carbide ride and I explained it was me. That's all. :)
