Last week my wife and I were on LI NY. Every year I try to make it back to NY for an annual party on the beach with old friends. I joked a few weeks ago in a thread how the NY trip was a trip where I never take a gun along.
So Saturday we get back from the beach party to our room (Red Roof Inn, Westbury LI NY) and as we go to our room there is this weird guy wandering the hallway. No problem we just head into our room. Then we hear this crashing and banging. Kathy looks out the peep hole and this lunatic is trying to bust down a room door across the hall. Hell, the walls were shaking. I got on the phone to the desk and told them, about then more calls were coming in. I suggested real strongly the call the cops and now!
The show continued. Finally a manager showed up and confronted the dude. The guy had more guts than I do. Then the manager left.
It took the Nassau County PD about twenty min to respond. Then a few cops showed up. Sitting in our room my only thoughts were if that lunatic bust in here wife is locked in bathroom and I had the butcher knife we used on the beach to slice and dice. Thinking how I longed for my .45 ACP. Damn, NYC born and raised and I hate this place now. I now know the gut feeling of being stripped of your rights. In New Jersey today visiting family and tomorrow back to Cleveland, Ohio. Home is sure going to look good.
The cops dragged the lunatic off. Finally!
