Well, I was finally able to load up 100 rounds of my newly arrived Matts 250 gr. Lead HP's in .44 special. I loaded them to shoot out of my 629's, but looking forward to the range trip. Decided to try them with 7.5 gr. of Unique. Hope they will prove a good load for SD.

I want to see how they work with these grips.

Amazing how quickly they buff out with a shop cloth. Takes off all the residual dullness left by the lube process. Not that it will enhance performance, but they sure do look nice. :D

I am currently running mine over 6.0gr of 700x ... which Chronys at 812fps out of my 3" 629-1.

They are a bit pricey, but they are nice bullets that expand very well at relatively low velocities.

I dug these out of my dry, fine-grain clay/sand backstop.

Wow! Thanks GBExpat! Exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Almost look like some Civil War musket action there.

Nice 'shrooms indeed. Thinking I should be getting a little more velocity with the 7.5 Unique, but I think the numbers I was seeing was @ 975 fps out of like a 6" or so barrel, so I can only extrapolate. No means to test that myself unfortunately.

Those look real nice. I've been looking for done similar boolits.
I've used some 460 gr RNFP .500 boolits from him for my 500 mag and they shot great. Might have to pick up some of these!

I've used his 200 grain 45 hp. Wonderful bullets. Great expansion!

Yep, I saw that bullet. Thinking on it. I am thinking about those Keith 260 gr. bullets for my .45 Colt. Thinking about that 157 gr. wadcutter for my .38/.357 needs, but really wish they had an HP version.

THAT would be sweet! I would get that no problem. :D

Nice! I'd love to have some of these .44 bullets that would open like that out of my Charter Arms Bulldog with 2.5" barrel, loaded to .44 special pressures of course.

I don't think I will be loading these for my Bull Doggie. I will listen to some one else's results and perhaps reconsider though. ;)

Nice! Hate to think what would happen at .44 Mag velocities. I think they say do not use for mag though. It would be like those bullets in the Day of the Jackel, where he filled them with Mercury. BOOM!

You have a keen eye my friend. F-Comp performance Center 3" .44 mag. Ajax grips I believe. Got it from a retired DEA agent. Grips been repaired, so have to see if they will hold up to a range session. Otherwise I have some Pachmayer compacts to put on. I know those will more than deal with recoil. This is truly a sweeeeet piece. :)

Very nice!
throw a T grip on there and I'd call it perfect.
I've been thinking about buying a 5" classic, and choping my 6 1/2" half lug down to 3" and porting it.
Mostly as a "heavy 44 spcl" packing iron.
And I'll have a hunting length pistol still that'll clear leather easier than the 6 1/2".
