havent gone shooting in 7 months. initially we learned our dept was being dissolved and didnt really feel like shooting and later the pandemic.

i have been able to do some part time work and with the range having reopened for the past couple of months I figured they would have hammered out their covid 19 precautions. i finally went last week.

Predictably it was fun. I brought my S&W victory with a voltquartzen barrel, CZP10c, Les Baer heavyweight monolith in 45 acp and S&W 586.

Always interesting to see how you would shoot after a relatively long non shooting interval .worked my way up from 22lr, 9mm, 45 SWCs and 38 spcl in double action at 10 yrds and then shot my steel gong at 25 yrds with the 45 and with the 9 mm. too bad I only had 100 9 mm left(since remedied by reloading 600 rds a couple of days ago). i made a video of it.

Fun! Nice how you split-screen the shooting .

I went last Friday after four months away from the range myself. I missed the whole range-routine something fierce!

It took me a while to get into the groove, but once I did I shot okay.

Colt Cobra, 2 hand DA @ 7 with 148 gr WC over 3.0 Bullseye. These were shooting a touch high for me.

Same distance and stance, GP 100 .44 Spl shooting 200 gr RNFP over 5.5 gr Bullseye.

First time shooting the Kimber Micro 9 with Win 115 bonded JHP, same distance and stance.

And the Ruger MK IV 10” with Armscor 36 gr hp, same etc, etc..

Too bad a lot of us are kept away from shooting by either Covid restrictions, ammo scarcity or both...

Stay safe.

shooting again after a while is almost as enjoyable as the first few seconds of peeing after holding a full bladder to the point that you could almost pee on yourself , ha ha.

it was fun going to the range again. my double action shooting was the one that declined the most i think.

yes range routine was off for me as well.i only brought one mag for the victory,. i thought it was in the bag already. packing up i forgot to take down my steel target first at the start of the ceasefire etc..

synching the 2 videos is the one that takes a little bit of effort for me.
