So I picked up a 1952 marked Tula built SKS (it has had it's first set of serial numbers stamped out so it was refurbed at some point), for an amazing deal and in part i got the price because the previous owner kinda ruined it by mounting one of those picatinny rail receiver covers on it and didn't fork over the original when he sold it.
So now I have a great rifle with a not so great sighting set up. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I could get a plain receiver cover. It does not have to be original or anything like that but I would like one without the ugly rail blocking my sights. From my understanding there ARE differences (but very minor) in the covers of the rifles depending on country of origin. If anyone can recommend and point me in the direction of a good, plain receiver cover I would be ever so grateful.
