Samco has Finnish surplus ammo, manufactured in 1981, in 9mm Browning short ball (aka 380 auto) for a good deal. It is 95 grains in brass cases. You can see it here:

I was thinking of getting some for a Ruger LCP for practice ammo. Any opinions on this ammo before I order a bunch?

$9.45 for a box of 50 sounds like a very good deal - depending on what their S&H fees are. From the description it sounds like good old standard 380 ball. Give it a go and let us know how it performed.

About time :)

I've got some on the way, and think it's a good price no matter how they prime it - I don't reload .380 anyway.

The Lapua ammo I've used is first rate. What do I think of this? I'm going to place an order.

9mm Browning short ball - aka 380 auto

I have a small 380 handgun that I am looking to buy ammo for. Will this Samco finnish surplus ammo, manufactured in 1981, in 9mm Browning short ball (aka 380 auto) ? It mentions that it is “aka 380 auto”, does this literally mean that this ammo will fit and function in my 380 handgun?

Link goes to 9X19 and It is Berdan primed. And thread from 2008
9mm short/browning/corto/kurtz are all different names for the .380 ACP
9 mm Browning Short Ball on another page is sold out.
