Being a child from the SW border I have always wanted a chrome plated 1911 38 Super with mother of pearl grips, a 7x57 98 Mexican mauser, and a G3-A4.

The new FX-05 Xiuhcoatl Fire Serpent has no allure compared to the recently replaced G3, however.

We love our .38 Supers!
Yours is a beautiful gun.
It should last way past your life time.
Mine is the usual black on black on black.

Since I have been getting more and more into guns and building up my collection of them. I knew I had to have a 1911, but since I’m a younging and as some of y’all older gents know. We have to be different and unique about things. So a .45 wouldn’t just do ( don’t worry, still gonna get one!) I had to get the next best thing; which was a .38 super. Now I’ve read on here before I sign up that that’s a bit of gangster and cartel round. So I figured I should respect that by getting a nickel RIA .38 super and seal the deal with some gold grips. It’s loads of fun to shoot, the grips are really thick and slightly counter the recoil of it. Shame we don’t see more pistols in .38 super.

Did it come with a magazine of Cocaine?

:D

My next 1911 will be my only. A Rock Island “Gray” doublestack 10mm target.

yes the most expensive of the cheap guns. Still runs less than a basic Kimber.

The 38 Super is the only Auto Round that I ever really liked. Very versatile if you load your own. The only other exception is the Model 52 that shoots 38 special wadcutters, but I sold mine and have been in a deep funk over that sale for a long time. Just as a FYI, I found out just yesterday that the 38 Super is the most popular 1911 in Mexico. It is a law that a civilian can't own a 45 in Mexico. Some law to keep some sort of advantage in favor of the Law Enforcement there. Gangster style or not I really like your gun.
