It was a cheap little single action .22lr revolver of my father's when I was about 8 i suppose. Might have been junk, but i developed a lifelong love for firearms ever since that first shot.
My Dads old buffalo rifle that he had inherited from his Dad. Lever action and to this day i swear those shells were 6 inches long. Lived in Wash State in the mts and at age maybe 8 i had seen an old stump that appeared to me like a monster. Snuck that gun out one day, laid it over the logging truck door, took aim and let it rip! Next thing i recall was parents picking me up, scared to death til they realized i was ok, then for a week i'd say, i ate standing up!!!
Probably my dad's Belgian Browning Citori 20 gauge. After that, he bought me a Remington 1100 20 gauge. From there to now seems like an astronomical age.

A single shot youth model .22 purchase at Monkey Wards for my 7th birthday ,gave it to my son when he was a kid ,he still has it and will pass it on when and if he has kids.
Shot a lot of jackrabbits ,cottontails , squirrels , rats and assorted other things with that little rifle.
The first was a Ruger 10/22, shortly after that was a Ruger Mark II Target. He had purchased both upon the news that he was having a boy. Thanks Dad. It's no wonder I'm a Ruger fan today. (Even though I carry a Glock)
My dad's WW2 Walther P38 9mm. I was probably six years old. I remember it was a friggin' HUGE gun at the time. Seems like it's shrunk a bit over the years. Not long ago my dad and I got it out and I posted the serial number over at the P38 forum. Turns out it's an AC41 so it was made at the Walther factory in Germany in 1941.
.22 bolt-action rifles at Scout camp. I shot almost every day. How long ago? JFK was in his first year as President. I now have my own .22 rifle and so does my son.
