pps m2 vs ccp m2.jpg

I am shopping for a single-stack 9mm, and I went to the local shop looking to get my paws on a Walther PPS M2 in person. They didn't have a PPS M2, but they did have a CCP M2, and I was surprised how great it felt it in my hand. I did some digging and found folks that liked and disliked both of them, and the street prices are pretty much the same. Does anyone have any first-hand impressions from shooting and/or owning both of them to talk about the pros and cons of each?

I have a CCP M2 that has been Cerakoted robin egg blue for my wife.

I fits the hand well and the trigger isn't bad. I was a little disappointed with the sights. In lower light (not "dark"), those recessed white dots don't offer much contrast.
The biggest issue for me is how quickly the frame above the trigger will heat up. I haven't fired enough in one session for it to be too hot to touch, but it's an unusual aspect. I plan on a P7 one day, so I suppose I'll have to get over this one.

I did have a malfunction where the slide seized halfway to battery. It took some doing to free it up. I'm fairly certain it was something to do with my reloads. Perhaps some shaved lead wedging between something.
Other than that, it's been reliable. Accurate too.

I don't have any experience with the PPQ.
