I like CZ handguns. I own a CZ 75 P-01, and it is a pleasure to shoot. CZ has many inexpensive handguns in various calibers, and they are generally built like a sh*t brickhouse. The P-01 has an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame, and of course, a hammer-forged steel barrel. I specifically bought the P-01, because I don't like the idea of having a polymer-framed handgun (that's just me - I'm kind of "old-fashioned" that way).
Having said that, a lot of professionals recommend the Glocks, due to their widespread use in the LEO community, and their renowned reliability. Having said THAT, I believe my CZ 75 P-01 is every bit as reliable as a Glock, without the plastic.
