How can I improve on this handgun list?

Lot of heavy weights , you need at least one pocket gun for when handguns are outlawed.

Just a thought...

I noticed that you don't have a .45 acp pistol. A good option that wouldn't set you back too much would be a Springfield XD 45 compact. Nice guns. Allows you to go from a compact frame to a fullsized frame by switching magazines. Pretty clever way of getting two guns for the price of one. Don't have one, but I definitely want one.

Hammerli

Does anyone know anything about the Hammerli pistols? I found one on Larry's guns.com and it was an X-esse. Can anyone give me a little background on the manufacturer? Thanks.

YOU my friend need a GLOCK! Unless you hate them?!?!?!

I too have a Stoeger Cougar 9mm, they are pretty accurate guns for what you pay for them, probably one of the better deals out there right now.

It would help to know what you're looking for in a collection. For example, when I started collecting I wanted to get an example of different guns from different categories. Initially I wanted at least one each of a...

- medium/full size .357 double action revolver

- hi capacity 9mm/.40S&W modern combat gun

- 1911

- .22lr automatic

- pocket gun

- single action cowboy revolver

...and there were more, but you get the idea. If you develop a "theme" to your collection, then you'll have a better idea for what to look for in your next purchase.

I liked the Springfield, but it seemed like it cycled too slowly.

I hate to ask....how does a 1911 'cycle too slowly' if there aren't malfunctions involved?

Are you shooting faster than it can physically lock and function, or is it just a perceived thing?

How can I improve on this handgun list?

How can I improve this list this year? I'm thinking of purchasing a Kahr PM-9 or a KelTec PF-9. I'll probably buy three handguns this year. And, I don't like 1911s. My problem has been that I give too many of my handguns away to Sons and SILs.
_______

Ok, this post goes into "there is no accounting for taste" drawer.

Like some people don't like fish or liver, others love them and can't fathom why someone would not like what they do like.

I am in that group that can not understand why some one holds the opinion "I don't like 1911s."

Since this is a matter of taste, I cannot offer any advice to you on how to improve your collection. There is not one item there that I would spend money on.
