My first one was a Dan Wesson 15-2. I had two barrels with it, one in 2" and one in 6". I used it to shoot NRA Bullseye and it was amazingly accurate. I won several awards with it. However, I no longer have it.
My dad had a S&W model 28-2 (Highway Patrolman) That I used to like to shoot when I was growing up. The first gun I bought myself was a Ruger P89. My cousin needed some money, and I think I gave him $250 for it. I still have it, and for the longest time, it was the only handgun I had, but I don't think I'd buy it again if I was looking for a first gun.
im 22 now, got my first hand gun a Hi-Point 9mm when i was 19 at a gun show, still have it and still beat the hell out of it and it just keeps going. gotta admit it was a good $130 i spent on something i can lend to new shooters so i don't care if it breaks or gets dropped.
1858 Remington Army clone, followed by another one for a matched pair.
Then, a Colt SAA .45 clone.
My first "modern" handgun was a S&W 19-3 that I still have and treasure.
mine was a ruger mk II. great little gun. dont remember why i sold it though. probably lack of the biggest evil in the world (money). funny thing about money, when you don't have any, its evil, when you do, its good.
