I want a suppressor for my 450 Bushmasters. A little research has netted 2 options that seem reasonable.

SilencerCo Hybrid 46
Bowers VERS 458 or 50

I dont really care about the caliber versatility of the 46 so much as its functionality as a 45 caliber suppressor. A 50 Beowulf may be in my future so I like the idea of the VERS 50. A threaded 45 Raptor will also be in the future and the VERS can handle that with the optional SS baffles.

My questions pertain to adaptability between different thread sizes and specifically with the VERS, the AIMS system.

The Hybrid 46 currently only comes in 5/8-24 threads. My 450s are 11/16-24 and this brings up the question of adaptability of the 46 to my rifles. Are adapters available? Do they work? Are they easy to use? Are there disadvantages to using an adapter?
I will also be toying with a 350 Legend in time and they come with 5/8-24 or 1/2-28 threads.
What is AIMS? Google only brings up the Bowers website which I have already scoured and AIM Surplus....

To end, at this point I would probably go with the VERS 50 between the two of these. I dont understand the AIMS system yet but it appears that it will fit my needs better than other adapter systems.

I am very interested in other folks' thoughts on this and maybe help me along with the technicalities of all these different suppressors out there. Suggestions welcome as well.

The aims system is just a large threaded hole on bottom of suppressor and their vers adapt thread adapters thread into it.

My vers 50 helps some with the 50 beo but it's still loud.

The Hybrid 46 has a lot of adapters available. Look at SilencerCo's website for the direct thread adapters. See what thread pitches are available. I think it also takes the ACR (?) direct mount system which may have muzzle devices that fit that thread. It has been a while since I bought those adapters. Silencer Shop and other websites sell the accessories also.
Lately, mine has been used mostly for 44Mag/44 Special on my Henry X Lever.

I have shot a Bowers VERS 45, but not the model you are mentioning. The VERS 45 works well, but 45 is still louder than smaller calibers even with subsonics. Bowers has adapters that thread right into my can for different pitches. Look at their website for what pitches are available.
For 45, my Bowers VERS 45 works well with a CMMG Guard 45 and a K-USA KP-9. The KP-9 is extremely quiet with subsonic ammo through that suppressor.
The Hybrid is a "do everything" suppressor. I have used it for 308 and it is rated for 300 WinMag. If you have no need for that versatility, I would lean toward the Bowers all things equal.

Hybrid uses (in fact, predicated) the Bravo thread pattern, nominally 1.375-24. It is an industry standard, basically every adapter you could want is available for it. That's why we do mount conversion to Bravo pattern on all manner of older (and new) cans by the hundreds. Not less than a dozen manufacturers offer Bravo pattern adapters. Griffin, YHM, SilencerCo (of course), Dead Air, Area 419, Q, Torrent. We have many in our own product line.

If you need .50 cal (low pressure) capability, the Bowers is about your only option. But it's not as tough as the Hybrid or the Griffin Bushwhacker 46, so keep that in mind. Those two can handle .338 Lapua and the RUMs. You will also be locked into the Bowers adapters unless you do a conversion or make/have made custom adapters.
