I’m looking at options for a multi caliber suppressor. I like the silencerco hybrid 46m but I’m also looking at the banish 46 from silencer central. The banish is user serviceable but as far as I can tell the hybrid 46m isn’t. Does it matter? Anyone have reviews on either of them?

What types of firearms are you looking to hush...?
Handguns, rifles, both...?
Like stated above, lotsa good options for much less $$..

my main rifle to suppress is my 458 socom. After that have a bunch between rifles and pistols. My Glock 40, beretta m9a3, Glock 21, tnw aero in 9mm, 10mm, 45, 460 rowland, my 338 spectre is another big one, my 358 mpg, a few 6.8’s. The list goes on and on

If you use a 45 call silencer on a 9mm or any 22 you won't be very satisfied.

That’s why I like the 46m, you can change end caps and it works really well doing that from everything I’m reading

I think you'll find it too big and heavy on your handguns and IMHO it's a bit of a pain to swap the booster in and out.
Before I spent a bunch of money on a booster and pistons, I'd give some thought to a pistol can and not end up with a bunch of expensive adapters that I don't use.

I agree with @mavracer , a separate can for pistols would be a wise choice.

Get the Hybrid 46 or the DA Primal for the biggun's (see what I did there ), and a .45 cal pistol suppressor for the handguns...
In the long run I think you would be pleased, but if only 1 can is in the cards right now, you can make it work in most formats...

My biggest thing was getting 1 can for now. So many other projects to deal with that it’s hard to save up for a second. I liked the 46m because it can be taken apart to be a shorter suppressor for pistols and a longer one for rifles

the second problem I have is a suppressor that will work with all my pistols. Will a 45 suppressor work with a 10mm? I’m less concerned with how much it will quiet down a full power 10mm.

It's a good plan, just know it's a gateway drug and plan ahead many companies have gone to common thread size for adapters and it's possible you can get a booster and pistons for 46m that will work down the road with a lighter pistol can.

oh I’m sure I’ll end up with more suppressors. I just wanted one that will work with everything for now.

Yeah I started with a Gemtech ONE, the only ONE you need they said.

diring the early solvent trap craze I form 1’ed a solvent trap for my 338 spectre. I love it for subs. Now I want a do most suppressor to get me through until I can afford another one

I love my ONE it's versatile and was a great place to start, but I ended up getting a Sandman Ti for dedicated can for my precision rifle and the ONE produced too much backpressure in AR10 so I got a couple older OSS cans. I think the Primal or 46M would be a great start.

"One silencer for all my needs"........I hear that every day.
I'm always hesitant to recommend such a can because I know that except for those shooting .458.......it will be unnecessarily heavy. While you aren't likely to notice it on a pistol caliber carbine or AR pistol.........you will on a traditional handgun. Hang a 17- 20 ounce silencer off the end of your Glock or 1911 and you'll envy the guy with a 10 ounce pistol can.

Yes.

Yes.

the hybrid 46m in its short configuration is 5.8” and 12.2 oz and long is 7.7” and 14.9 oz

plus a booster right? that will add another 5 oz or so won't it? will a gun even cycle with that much weight on the end? I have a terrible time getting my mystic x to cycle with my light subsonci reloads on a pistol. I've been eyeballing a beretta just to see if a non-browning tilt action will run better.....

im not sure if it needs a booster. I have been watching videos of people shooting them on Glocks and sigs and other semi autos with just direct thread

The GA bushwhacker 46 is user serviceable, and has interchanging endcaps, which is good for both cast bullets, and smaller stuff like 22lr's.

I've got one in jail right now, already picked up the 30cal end cap as it's mostly for my 308's and a 357mag lever gun, a 350L/450B/45-70 is in my future as well.

I figured since I'll want one for the larger cartridges, starting there made sense. Although a lighter dedicated 30cal can might get added in the future as well.
