First visit to new Gander Sports store...

I'm confused. So are the Gander Outdoors owned by Camping World and Gander Sports are former Gander Mountain stores that Camping World did not buy?

That is my understanding. I'll try to fact check it.

Niles Ohio is surpose to reopen on the spring . I have pretty much been doing Finn feather fur in boardman the last couple of years anyway

I agree with you JeffG miss Sportsman's Warehouse.

I do too. When I lived in SW Va we had one in Roanoke which wasn’t a bad drive from us. Their prices weren’t the best but they didn’t rape people like Gander Mountain on the other side of Roanoke.

As for the new Gander. I may go in and check out the one in Fredericksburg but I won’t be spending any money there. I’m 99% certain I’m right about Camping World buying them. And if that one percent is right and I’m wrong, I’d still rather give my money to companies that aren’t against our president and country.

Well I just checked out the Gander Outdoors in Fredericksburg. It’s clearly owned by Camping World.

The store looks like a Rural King in that the floors are all torn up and they didn’t invest much in remodeling. The store had no reloading gear. They did have a decent ammo selection, a decent Magpul and MFT selection and the prices were better than the old Gander Mountain.

They also had a decent camping selection, a big skate board section and a big fishing section.

Overall, I’ll stand by having no desire to shop there. Instead, I’ll plan my purchases and order online, go to gun shows (The big show in Chantilly isn’t far away) and keep looking for decent LGSs
