Hello all,
I was hoping that someone on these forums could offer advice as to whether it's possible to fit the XS Sight Systems "XS Lever Rail" to octagonal barreled Marlin 1894 and 1895 Cowboy rifles?
On XS's website it states that the XS Lever Scout Mount is incompatible with octagonal barrels, but says nothing to the same effect in regards to the XS Lever Rail. I've looked through Google extensively for information on this subject and contacted XS themselves; Google has turned up no useful results and I am yet to hear back from XS.
I love the look of octagonal barrels and the 1894/1895 Cowboy rifles tick all the other boxes for me personally - I'd just like the option to mount a red dot forward of the breach.
Alternatively, are there any other picatinny rails similar to the XS, which are known to be compatible with octagonal barrels?
If anyone could offer advice or relate any personal experiences I would very much appreciate it.
