Would like to see it with a bi-pod on that front swivel stud that might be tacticool :what: Looking good sofar.

I have to say I thought that the original 18.5 inch barrel was about right and made the rifle look perfectly balanced. Yours looks slightly too short to me, but I must say congrats for having a go and doing something different!
Your rifle would excel for use from a motorbike or a vehicle, or horse.
How many shots of magazine capacity have you lost? I assume only 1 which is not a big deal.
Anyway it looks very well done.

Wish they would make a 45-70 that could reliable rock .410 shells without ejection issues.
Not possible. The base of the .45/70 cartridge is .5039" while the .410 runs .470". The rim of the .410 is also much smaller at .527" while the .45/70 is .608". It's compatible with the .45Colt because the dimensions are much, much closer.

FoMoGo,

Is that thing ported? Bet that outfit barks like an 8" 55 they had aboard ship! LOL I've got an Win. .375 that does the trick too, won't be shortening the barrel tho, kinda like the original set up. Good shootin' friend!

What on Earth are you going to use that for? If its for SD, then you have some really tough bad guys in your neck of the woods.

I don't know about the OP but I live close to Peru Indiana...long known as the Circus Capitol of the US. Now I don't have proof but there are rumor of escaped roque elephants roaming the woods, hiding from man for the most part but on nights of the full moon they look for humans to force to perform circus acts before sacrificing them. Now I am sure these are just rumors but why take a chance...so I keep my lever gun handy at all times.

450 Alaskan built on a Browning 71, 510 grain cast at 2100fps.

No ports, but at night I can send signals to the space station.
My father had a Winchester Big Bore 94 in .375... scope was a little far back and was the only rifle to ever give him scope eye.
I WILL have a .375 later on.

451, good lookin squirrel gun you have there.
