So here is my problem, the scope on my LBC super varmint seems to be to far back. It works for bench shooting but sucks for actul feild work. the scope is a leupold 4.5x14 LR, and is mounted as far foward as I can get it IE the front ring is back against the adjustment turrets and is the limiting factor in how far forward I can move the scope. I would like to move it an inch maybe more foward so how do I go about doing that? I have seen some riser set ups that look like they extend out over the hand guard does any one have any experince with these? I would love any info you all can give me.
Also I have seen some scopes mounted with both rings on the rear mounting surface of the scope between the adjustment turrets and occular bell, is this a viable option? I think it looks kinda lame.
The rifle is chamberd in .204 so I ain't real worried about recoil knocking things around.
