FN Question

Hi All -

I just got a new FN Five Seven for Thanksgiving. I noticed it did not come with a spent case. Did FN stop doing that? Is there any way to tell when the pistol was made?

The spent case is required by two states, and FN's supply chain evidently permits them to not ship the particular pistol you received to those cesspools.

That program of cataloguing bullets fired from each handgun sold failed miserably and was discontinued. Just as predicted before it was enacted. An extreme waste of tax money and the money of the gun manufacturers. I tried finding websites that outline this but cannot. Weird.

I've wanted firearms, on Thanksgiving Day, to stop all the squabbling.
Closest I've gotten was the Market Hall gun show the weekend right after.

They stopped that several years ago when they finely admitted it didn't work. As far as I know no company still includes the spent case.
