FNP pistols: experience with SAO or DAO?

I am looking at the FNP-9 pretty hard, and really like what I see.

But... the DA/SA may be problematic to me as I shoot with thumb on top of the safety (yep...1911 muscle memory) and unintentional de-cock is a real possibility.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the SAO or DAO variant of the FNP?

Is the DAO trigger the same weight pull as the DA/SA?

I emailed FN today and asked if it possible to convert from one fire assembly to another (e.g. DA/SA to DAO).
FN responded same day and said "Conversions are not available at this time!"

Is the DAO trigger the same weight pull as the DA/SA?

Yes. They don't have a short trigger. I think the Single Action Only trigger would be the best choice, given what you've said.

We've got an SAO in stock right now. I like it quite a bit.

The DAO doesn't seem any different than the DA/SA's first shot.
