I kind of went bass akwards on this one but I picked up an FNS 40 yesterday. I've been looking for a polymer framed .40 cal and I just happened to find this one on consignment at the LGS. I liked the feel of the gun and for the price I had to pick it up. The trigger feels pretty good and it fits my hand well. Does anyone have any experience with this gun?

My wife bought an FNS-40 a couple of weeks ago and we just got back from our gun club and shooting it. She likes the gun but was a bit surprised at the "aggressive" grip checkering. She shot it well, but after a while she put on a glove and that made things better for her

We fired a total of 190 flawless rounds (rough count of retrieved empties): 30 Berry's 180 grain plated TC and the rest my own cast 175 grain TC. Excellent accuracy and recoil was unremarkable and very manageable.

All things considered, she likes her Ruger SR40 better at this point, but the FNS-40 is a nice glow-in-the-dark open sight alternative to my Glock 23 with CTC laser. I'll be shooting it a lot more, just need a couple more 14 round magazines.

Love mine. It's been pulling double duty as my HD and sometimes carry piece. Love the trigger, and even though I'm a glock fan, I find the design much more elegant. Like some sort of polymer Hi Power hybrid striker...thing.
It feels like a very robust pistol, and the recoil is very tolerable.

It's a fine intro into the world of .40 poly pistols, imho.

I generally like a flatter backstrap, but its just personal preference obviously.

I like and trust mine its been a solid gun always
fires doesn't jam easy take down and is accurate
No complaints at all

After 150 rounds downrange I really like the gun. I seem to shoot more accurately for me with the flat backstrap. No failures to function at all. I will say however, the recoil is significant but, nothing that cannot be managed with practice.
