I've had a couple people ask me so I figure i would post it...

I know everyone has their favorite products but I have been using this stuff on my truck for months now and it is great. I use it on my M1A now too. I used to use a standard lithium grease (same stuff I greased my driveshafts with) and that works great too but this grease is synthetic and has a higher drop point and performs better is wet conditions. It costs twice as much as the lithium grease but at $6 for a 14 ounce tube (a lifetime supply for 1 rifle) I can't complain.

I know some people swear by the tetra greases and whatnot but modern synthetic auto and industrial greases are hard to beat.

im betting its just as good on 1911 rails and slides as it is on m1's/m1a's.

I've been using automotive products on firearms for years. Did you know Synthetic Motor oil works good as a gun oil, synthetic gear oil for lubing bolts that you don't want to put grease on and greases of course for grease. Just have to be careful what you use where so you don't end up trapping or attracting dirt in the mix...very affordable (plus they are aready in the garage).

i use grease as well, i use lithium high temp wheel bearing, who knows better metal on metal lube better than the automotive industry ya know!

I use whatever grease is closest at hand at the time I need it, be it plastilube, lithium, tetra or bacon.

This is what I use. Works GREAT! You can get it at high end bicycle shops

I use Mobile 1 Synthetic ball bearing grease on my Garand. Actually I've started using it on all of my rifles.

You need to check Brian Enos website for slide glide. I've been using the light version on my XD9 and the claims are true.

It stays where you put it. It does not run off and gather in the corners.
Great stuff, no joke.
