Try a Kahr PM45
Versatile, dependable, expensive polymer but much less than most 1911's. Surprising how little kick for a 17.3 ounce hammerless DAO .45 (5+1, 6&7 mags coming). Fits well in Don Hume IWB H715M #40-P45. What I like most about the Kahr is near-zero print in a front pocket using a High Noon pocket with a velcro strip sewn to the front edge so I can use my Kahr pocket holster flap over it, looks like a second wallet. 3.14" barrel, 1.01" thick, 4.49" high, 5.67" long, all five fingers fit, find me one better and I'll own it too.
... even still I still want a Colt New Agent or Kimber CDP II/RCP with Crim-Traces.
