On Christmas morning, my younger daughter will be opening up a new Cabela's range bag - with a bulk pack of Winchester 22lr and an H&R 622 revolver inside........

It's in very good condition and seems to shoot ok - I had to test it of course, it is a used gun after all.

I'm on a search for a cheap Stevens 311 (or 5100; I don't think they actually attached a model number when the receiver I have was made.) double-barrel in 16ga to replace my dad's pheasant gun.
Or the barrel for one, which would be even better if it doesn't need much fitting. A decade in storage in Florida ruined the barrel, but WD40 and steel wool has the receiver about as nice as when he last used it.
Unfortunately I need to stay inexpensive. It's not likely to see use again anytime soon, and is purely sentimental at this point.

Every Christmas for the last five years I gift a firearm to my LEO son and grandson. This year it's a CZ SP 01 Phantom for my son and a Ruger Stainless 1911 Commander in .45 APC for the grandson. Picked up the CZ last month, pic below, and will pick up the Ruger tomorrow.
Was looking for a jacket in a back bedroom closet the other day and came across a large box stashed in the back. I'm thinking WTH is this. Kel Tec Sub 2000 in 9 mm. I guess Papa is also having a good Christmas.

I sold some safe queens and bought a used CZ PCR (9mm pistol), a couple new .22s for range plinking/training (one rifle, one pistol), and a new Sub 2000 (9mm carbine). I also picked up the optional CZ 75 mag catch so I can run those mags in the Sub 2000

Due to new home purchase (and the resulting disassembly of my man cave) and a new baby Ive totally been out of the gun loop.

I always hope so. Since adulthood, it's only happened once. I bought a new Remington 870 turkey model, wrapped it and put it under the tree. I can act pretty excited if I want too.
One year for my 31st birthday my father gave me a very heavy for size package. I knew immediately what it was even before unwrapping it. A wooden presentation box with the S &W model 29 I used as a teenager in IHMSA matches. Best birthday present ever. The one in my avitar, actually.
