Yes, once when I was about 13 recieved a 20 gauge H&R single shot and then the next year a .22 from my parents of which I sold or traded off in the years I was doing such things. Keep the 20 gauge which I still have and hope to one day give to a grandson. Then one year my wife got me a 10/22.

Have given away at least 10 as Christmas gifts....really is "better to give than to receive", the look on their faces was priceless.

I'm getting a Super Blackhawk .44mag 5.5" stainless this year :)

It's nice, I pick my own gift, the wife picks hers, and we pick the kids' together...

I am pretty sure my Grandfather is giving me a gun this year for Christmas, something from his collection of course. I have no idea what it will be and it feels awesome.

No, but now that my boys are old enough to start shooting/hunting I will be giving myself.........oops......I mean giving them guns for Christmas.:)
This year, a Marlin 917V .17 HMR.

My Dad bought me my first BB Gun for my 7th Christmas. My Grandpa bought me my first single shot 20 gauge (which was used on my first deer) for my 8th Christmas. My Dad then bought me my first rifle (Ruger 10/22) for my 10th Christmas. My Dad also bought me a 30-30 for my 18th Christmas, but my brother stole it and sold it when I was in the Army :( I never got to use that one either...

I'm still holding my breath that my wife and kids will pick up on the hints that I've been dropping on buying me a concealed carry pistol/revolver.

BTW I still have the shotgun and rifle and they are used regularly.:)

presents...

i stopped giving guns as presents, buying two at time was getting costly...one to give away, and one to keep...gpr

As a boy growing up in the late 1940's, early 1950's era, if you had not found a new .22 under the tree by the time you were 10 or 11, you were considered deprived and neglected.

Times sure have changed, and for the worse. :(

I got a few bb guns along the way but I got my shotgun as a birthday present. I'm planning on one for this Christmas but I just can't decide what I want. Bullpup AK or masterpiece arms MAC10 .45acp. Decisions decisions.

My wife has given me two guns. I know one of them was for my Birthday but I can't remember if the other one was for Christmas or for another Birthday.

If you don't get a firearm for Christmas every year, year after year, you are standing in line to talk with the wrong Santa Claus. The last one I got was a Walther P88C -- and thank you very much, Santa. This year: a german-made PPK is on the way. Way to go, Santa. :)

Yep. Got my first gun, a Winchester 62A, Xmas of '59 (last year they were made).
30 yrs. later some Grinch stole it along with a bunch of others:fire:.
I've built the collection back up since.
Now I'm happy to get some ammo for Xmas.

My parents gave me my first centerfire rifle, a Parker-Hale conversion of a #4 Mk1, for Christmas of 1959 when I'd turned 16 and could legally hunt by myself in Ontario.

My wife of 43 years has given me dozens of fine guns, including (just for example) a Shiloh Sharps, an S&W .44 Mountain Revolver, a Grade Two Browning .22 takedown rifle, a Ruger #1 in .416 Rigby, and the list goes on and on. Last Christmas it was a Marlin 336 half-magazine rifle in .35 Remington, which I'd seen in Cabela's in Reno...and did not buy, but mentioned it to her when I got home. On Christmas morning, here it was under the tree!

Even at my advanced age, Christmas can be pretty exciting.

i recieved my mossberg 590 for christmas one year and hoping a 1911 finds its way under the tree this year
