So for those that have more than one revolver, please list the revolvers you have. And think hard about this, if you can only KEEP one out of all the revolvers you have, WHICH ONE?!

A lot of folks are hesitant to list the guns they own. I have read about a few who have lost all their guns in boating accidents and the like. I have a S&W M19-4 I'm kind of partial to.

The reason I ask is because I want to get one final revolver! yes, a FINAL one. No more. So I want to see what people with a huge collection will recommend.

1. Smith M&P 38 special 4 inch tapered barrel.
2. Smith Model 10 4 inch heavy barrel.
3. Smith Model 36 chiefs special.
4. Smith Model 13 4 inch heavy barrel.
5. Smith Model 19 6 inch barrel.
6. Smith Model 66 4 inch barrel.
7. Ruger Police Service Six 4 inch barrel.
8. Ruger GP100 4 inch barrel

If I could one have one of these it would be the Smith M13 4 inch barrel with a close second to the Ruger Police Service Six 4 inch barrel. The reason, they are both balanced , there weight is perfect, there fixed sight revolvers and they are 357/38 revolvers. Perfect combat fighting revolvers.

Ahhh the 686 7 rounder 357?! good choice!

Roaddog =( I am trying to buy me a security six at the moment.

Ruger Single Six (2)
Ruger Blackhawk (3)
Ruger Sp101
Colt Python
Colt New Frontier
Taurus 669
Taurus 627

I really like the 627 Taurus but I fear it may be developing timing issues.
The Python is so accurate and smooth....it's the keeper.

Smith shrouded snubbie .38 special. Model 10with pachmyr grips. For a final revolver, a blued smith 686 with rubber grips, 4~6 inch barrel and adj sights

Sorry.

That's like asking me to pick just ONE motor vehicle to use for the rest of my life. Car, truck or motorcycle, and then from among the various sub groups of each.

Or ONE type of footwear.

It depends.

I would choose a SA, DA or DAO revolver for different circumstances.

I'd choose between different medium & large bore calibers depending on the situations in which I anticipated using them.

I've always like a medium-size .357 Magnum for a medium-bore handgun ... but I've also felt a .44 Magnum would be a bit more versatile if the range of conditions and tasks shifted. Then, the revolvers I carry most often nowadays, for retirement CCW, are my J-frames.

Just depends.

S&W Model 10
S&W Model 15
S&W Model 36
S&W Model 27
S&W Model 637
S&W Model 60
Ruger New Single-Six
Ruger Blackhawk

H&R model 949 22lr
NAA 22lr/22mag
S&W Hand Ejector 32long I frame
S&W model 30-1 32long J frame
S&W model 360sc 357mag J frame
S&W model 13 4"
Ruger SP101 3" 357mag

If I could keeps an auto too, I'd go with the S&W 360.
If I could keep JUST a revolver it would be the SP101

Ruger Single six
Ruger Redhawk 5.5"
Ruger Super Blackhawk 10"
S&W 686

Can't think of owning just one, more are on the horizon :p

I think you're nutz to get down to only one. Now one of each caliber I could perhaps see. But ONLY one revolver? That's the road to perdition my son.... :D

4 double action wheelguns. All Smith and Wessons. A 10, 17, 19 and 28. Of the lot I'd definetly keep the 17 (a sweeter .22 you won't find) and the 19 just because I'm perfectly happy shooting various power levels of .38Spl. Although up this way I'm too new to be allowed the "evil" short barrel options so I have to content myself with the 6 inch version. If I could I'd have a 4 inch in a blink. I've shot one a few times and there's no doubt that it balances in the hand in the nicest possible manner. I may even consider shortening mine to 4.5 inches to stay legal within my restriction category but get most of the feel of the 4 inch barrels. But that's for later.

The only issue with the 19's is that you can't get any more barrels for them. But they'll shoot for years with .38Spl. If you want to shoot a lot of Magnum then you'd want to go with the 686 or 586 so you can still get replacement barrels. Not as sleek a gun as the K frame though.

I like my big N frame just because it mimic's Dirty Harry's gun but in .357 Magnum. Loads that rattle the 19 pretty badly are treated like kid's stuff with the big N frame on the job. Not something you'd want to try to conceal carry though.

Hello friends and neighbors // Toss up

S&W Model 586 Distingushed Combat Magnum .357 6" or Ruger Service Six .357 4".

They are both outstanding in every way.
I had the trigger lightened on the 586 the Service Six is just as sweet stock.

I only have 10 revolvers to choose from.
Next for me is a Ruger Speed Six or another Dan Wesson (Monson) which ever crosses my path first.

I have a K, but I would also take a L or N with no issues - this is my HD gun and works well. Maybe starting from fresh, I would pick the L or N this time around

I have a cross-section of revolvers.

Taurus Raging Bull .454 Casull 6.5" barrel
S&W 637 .38SPL snubby
Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum 2.75" barrel
S&W .22LR Airweight

I'd keep the Ruger.

Ruger Security Six 4" .357
Ruger SP101 2 1/4 .357
High Standard Double Nine nickel 5 1/2" .22LR
Definately would keep the Security Six. It's a great gun and my Dad gave it to me years ago.
