Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it anyone 21 or older can file a Form 1 to make a suppressor. Once its approved, manufacturing can begin. Here's my question: How long is this approval good for? If a form 1 is approved, and you move to a non-NFA state before completing construction, can you resume the process say a couple years down the line?

If you move to a non NFA state, you can't have the can with you.

I know I can't take it w/me. I'm asking if I return to the NFA state with the approved Form 1, is it still valid, and for how long?

You have to be 18yo to file a Form 1. There are 18-20yo that have made SBRs and SBSs and suppressors on a Form 1. It is legal and the ATF will approve them if there is no age restrictions in their state.

There is no expiration date on a Form 1

Great. So all those books about making suppressors can be put to use legally after all! BTW a Type 07 FFL is a manufacturer of DDs?
