Well, I finally found me a good gun club to join. Its about 10 minutes from my house, just outside of town. They have a 200 yard rifle range, a 25 yard and a 50 yard pistol range, and a trap setup. The rifle and pistol ranges are covered, so shooting in the rain isnt bad at all either. A nice clubhouse, with a full kitchen and some comfy chairs and whatnot to sit around and BS in. A coffeepot and heated and Air conditioned clubhouse with indoor bathrooms. There is also a nice 2 acre pond that is well stocked. I was the 102nd member to join.

When you become a member you get a key that opens the front gate and the clubhouse, so you can come and go as you please. All of this for the princely sum of 75 dollars per year. It was too good of a deal to pass up, thats for sure.

Anyone else belong to a small private club like this?

Yup, even here in California. :D

One club even allows BBQ/overnight camping for the family by the lake.

The best thing is that you can also do night shooting (if ok with campers and camp ground is usually empty) and set up action pistol/USPSA/IDPA like setup as long as you clean up the range and ok with other shooters - they usually join in as soon as they see the targets up. :D

The do CAS at this one, but are trying to get interest in some other games. Hopefully that works out well, I would love to do bowling pin matches. They also do asprin matches.

That sure beats my deal....

My name is somewhere on a list in the midst of 100 others. I've been waiting 2 years so I can pay $800 to join the closest club to me, which is still about 25 miles away.

The club is maxed out at 600 members, so I'm waiting on existing members to move away or die. I'm starting to feel like a vulture.

Our club has about 300 members. Dues are 75.00 a year, 50.00 for NRA members, 25 if you work. We have a full multidiscipline outdoor range with High Power, Silhouette, pistol, etc out to 1000 yards, along with our own indoor range , 8 firing points, .22 rimfire only. Dues money gets you the key to both ranges. Outstanding deal.

Dang ....

FYI, if you live near Central California, no membership limit and cost just over $100 annually (at least before I moved away from the area). Club has 24/7 (yes, 24/7) 25/50/100 yard pistol/rifle ranges, new Trap/Skeet range, has Citizens Marksmanship Program Certification, and the Kings County Sheriff’s Office conduct Basic Firearms Safety Training for CCW permit holders. Good bunch of guys with great facilities. (Camp ground left of the lake).

I am a member of the CTRP. IT ROCKS!!! Way better than Carters County back home in houston. I dont have to wait for cease fires, you just talk to some other members, or sometimes you are the only one there :)

Yup, same at LSC mentioned in previous post/pictures.

By club rules, you become the range officer if you are the only one shooting at a particular range (25/50/100) and you set up the red flag on the flag pole to indicate that the range is hot/live.

And if you get hungry, you can fire up a BBQ in the camp ground! :D

Club I belong to is local and has 2 trap houses, a 100yd rifle range (that's multipurpose) and lots of land (at least for around here) out back of that for members to hunt of if they wish, including a pond and walk-thru 3D Archery course.

Some things to note are that when someone is hunting back on the property the ranges are closed and the club has 2 designated quiet days, between that and the number of organized events there is actually very little few times you can go have the range's to yourself.

Really though it's nice to have somewhere local where I get a rifle range and cheap trap rounds for $75 a year.
