I went to the Traditions company store yesterday for an annual visit.

They're in the process of re-arranging their small store, so not everything was on display.
But they did have a small quantity of non-cataloged Pietta revolver kits that they said were only available in person at the company store. These were totally assembled .44 revolvers with unfinished exterior metal and grips.
They were only marked Pietta Manufacturing on the barrel and not "Traditions".
All of the steel was bare, the grips were unstained & needed final fitting, and the brass trigger guard finish was rough cast.

They had the 1851 with a brass frame, the 1860 with a brass or steel frame, and the 1858 with a steel frame only. The price ranges were in the ~$150 -$175 range including sales tax. The only hardship is that I didn't buy any of them while I was there and it's a 2 hour round trip.

If some folks really wanted one of these they could always try asking Traditions to send them one or contact me & post it here. Maybe I could do a small group buy to make the final cost of a special trip more affordable.
Who knew that Pietta even made these kit revolvers? :)

Well, I called Trad. this morning and stayed on hold for over an hour. "I'm sorry, I thought you'd hung up!":banghead:

I finally hung up and called them back-yes I know I should have done it earlier. Anyway, what they've got are 'prototypes', and they'll only sell them in person, so they can be inspected by the buyer. After all of that!:cuss:

Anyway, if people want to do a group deal, I'm in.

The 4 steel frame revolvers they have are sold pending funds. Only brass frames are left and I'm not even sure how many of those they have.
Shotgun Willy, I sent you a PM.
