I have a Fox/Savage Model B series N SxS with double triggers.
It has been firing both barrels when I pull the front trigger.
Doesn't fire both when I pull the rear trigger.
The trigger cross pin was loose. I pushed it out a ways and put a drop of loctite in the hole and tapped it back in place. Not sure if the loose pin would cause a problem ?
The front trigger has a pull of about 4 1/2 llbs
The rear trigger has a pull of about 2 llbs
With my finger I can trip the rear trigger sear easily.
With my finger It is much harder to trip the front trigger sear.
Would new springs solve the problem or do I need to look at something else ?
Thanks for any help.

It sounds like the left barrel hammer (rear trigger) has broken off a piece from the sear notch.
Both barrels are firing when you pull the front trigger because the left hammer is bouncing off the left sear during recoil.

Loctite isn't going to help, take the gun to a gunsmith familiar with these guns, he can replace the hammer and sear.
I should also add that there is a sear spring that wraps around the trigger pin if I remember correctly and this spring also holds tension on the trigger pin, if it was installed incorrectly it may be forcing the sear away from full contact with the hammer and it would possibly allow the trigger pin to slop around a little bit in the hole, another thing to have the 'smith look for.
Parts are still plentiful for Model B guns. HTH

I remember a brand new Fox B that a customer brought in because it failed to fire the right barrel. Since the gun was new, we sent it back to Savage. When it came back, it fired the right barrel, but wouldn't fire the left. Back to Savage. This time, it fired neither barrel. Back to Savage. Now, both barrels fired no matter which trigger was pulled.

The boss finally gave up, expressed his thoughts as to where Savage should put their gun, and told me to fix it. I did.

Fox sear

Thanks Onmilo I removed the sears and sure enough the left one is worn a
fair amount and not square. Do you think I can get away with replacing the sear or do I need to remove the hammer to inspect it too ?
Thanks

The fact that the sear appears worn to you should be a clue to the condition of the hammer notch. Taking a chance on it not being equivalent is a risk with little benefit and plenty of potential downside.
I recut sear edges all the time to make better contact or refresh the wear condition fit. Very seldom is one contact edge worn much less than the other. One notch may have alteration or sloppy install/fit evidence not present on the other, but poor fit of parts can (by itself) cause improper wear and operation.
Also consider that replacement parts, such as a new sear, may require proper gunsmith fitting, or re-fitting, if a used part.
