Does Freedom Arms Make a 44 Magnum in the smaller model 97 frame?

Also, does Freedom make a Bisley framed gun?

No, FA does not offer the .44 Magnum in the FA 97. .44 Special and .45 Colt are offered in the FA 97 as are the .327 and .357 Magnums. .22 LR is also offered.

No, FA does not make a true Bisley frame although the FA 83 grip frame has some elements of the Bisley.

Do a web search for "Freedom Arms" and you'll find all the info about their guns you want and then some.

I have the small frame model 97 and it's grip is also more Bisely-like than a Blackhawk for comparison.
The 97 grip does not roll up in the hand like the Blackhawk during recoil, more of a straight back kick.

Is the 83 frame also more Bisley-like than the Blackhawk?

I'm really considering getting one in 44 Mag if I can find a deal on a used one. I'll probably sell a couple I have to recoup the cash.

The M 83 frame is also kind of in between the Bisley and traditional grip frame. Of note is the fact the M 83 grip frame allows for a longer gripping surface than a Blackhawk frame, and for me at least is more comfortable. The grip angle is also more similar to the Bisley, with a bit less roll than a Blackhawk frame.

I will NEVER buy another Freedom Arms ANYTHING :barf: their CS is like ,,, on worst then dealing with a car dealership on a warranted repair :cuss: Once you by their over priced POS stuff they don't care to hear from you about anything :banghead: I dumped my handgun at a BIG LOSS :( and got something else. Do yourself a big favor there are much better guns on the market to spend less money on ;)

Mieux vaut prévenir que guérir :scrutiny: No I’m not a furry footed burrower I’m speaking from MY true experience. I had one of their handguns and after shooting about 23 bullets from it I had some issues with it right from the get go  about 3-yrs ago. IMHO they are way over priced for what your getting and their CS is tearful :barf: I called them and they could have cared less :banghead: It happened to me and it could happen to you. If there is a V among us you better take a better look around cuz it tan’t Moi. “BUMP” :D

We don't do TROLL comments here.

RinkRat, you probably should explain exactly what happened and what FA did about it.

Surely you understand that they have a fantastic reputation, so there will be some skepticism. A good description of the problem you had and your conversations with them about it will be very helpful.

Thanks.

Would love to know the particulars re: RinkRat's comments. I've delt with Freedom Arms off and on over the years and their customer service has always been second to none.

Price/quality is for the most part very subjective.

It was 3-yrs ago it had something to do with the cylinder locking up or out of line or sync - a cylinder something - and a trigger something ,,,, It was a while ago I got over it I thought that they could have been more congenial about it since I PAID so much for their product because it was right out of the box I got rid of it and even though I took a loss ( i told the buyer the problems i was having that's how i roll i'm not out to play someone towards my own benefit so they said they didn't care they just wanted it ) and with the money I did get I was able to replace it with three other firearms so obla di obla da and IMHO I would not buy Freedom Arms anything :barf: but I'm just passing on my personal experience with them "YMMV"

Kudos to Sam :D I though we were all here to discuss problems we have with or don't have with firearms, try to help our fellow 2A supporters with those problems, make IMHO suggestions with the problems we don't personally have or do have, help out those in need of some suggestible advice, and be gentlemanly or ladylike about it. I am just telling you my own personal experience of what I experienced. Not trying to slam anyone just telling it like it happened to me. You may have a wonderful story to tell. I don't. You have to make up your own mind give the suggestions you have to work with. They are all worth what you are paying for them ,,, nothing. But they are someones endowment to a given subject. Some drive a Ford some drive a Chevy, but we all drive. :p

Yes. But we also try to stay very focused. The OP's question was on what versions of grip frame FA makes and now we're wandering far from that topic.

Let's call this asked and answered, with some bonus material.
