does anyone have the reference which documents the fact that citizens with CCW have never committed any crimes?

I recall there is one exception, a couple of Chicago police, I think

I'd be surprised if it turned out that there were no CCW holders that have committed crimes, but I would NOT be surprised to learn that CCW holders commit crimes at a much lower percentage than the population as a whole.

DPS is very anti CCW and they have been ordered by a judge to post these conviction rates.


These conviction rates are from 1995 to 2001.

we had certified popo at my first college, and you weren't supposed to keep guns on campus but a couple friends kept them in their tool box in their truck and in their dorms cuz they'd go huntin

You should've dropped your car keys on the counter and said "My God! What happens if I'm driving down the street, and suddenly decided to start RUNNING PEOPLE OVER?" This puts it into a perspective he might appreciate; a gun is an inanimate tool, no different than a car.

on the college issue.
I go to a very liberal college, campus police don't even have guns.
Obviously they have the no guns on campus, ovbiously this rule is "ocasionally" ignored and students keep firearms in their cars. I ikeep my off campus, for the record.
That being said, while I am majoring in Natural Resources Ecology and Management, I have had any overly liberal professors, or they are they don't make much mention about it. My politcal science teacher talks about the NRA often and has yet to make any negitive comments.
Lastly, I won't complain too much about my school as I will be shooting a 682 gold this summer compliments of our trap and skeet club.

It was the same time a rifle that fires .50 BMG was used in a crime and yet they would ban them too......
