and I got to fondle it a lot while he was purchasing it. This is definitely one of the coolest revolvers I've ever seen. On the side it's stamped literally ".357 magnum - 8 times" - lol. 5" bbl. Came with beautiful smooth grips (I think rosewood) AND rubber grips. So it can be both a BBQ gun AND a real workhorse. Very versatile sidearm was my thought, and looks great doing it. No shrouded bbl either.

    No point, just commenting....

I also agree. There is a lot one can do with them. Apex Tactical offers trigger tunes for "gaming" wherein the double action can be taken down around 3 pounds with Federal primers. They have a website at:

There was a discussion over at Brian Enos Forum on this at:

One of these days I hope to have one of these albeit with a heavier trigger to use other ammo.

Really? It doesn't have that weird tapered shroud? Not that there's anything wrong with it. I'd take one.

I wish they made a NON performance center N frame .357. Even if it wasn't an 8 rounder. Get the price around six hundred, they'd do well I think.

I decided after I got my 627 it was easily the best .357 I have ever owned! I always wanted a Colt Python till I got the 627 but that yearning has passed for now ............ :D .
