I picked up a Colt LW Commander awhile back and the gun came to me with XS sight systems, express sights mounted. They seem to be very nice, however. I am just to used to standard sights and have a hard time with them so I plan to change them. I want to use a Yost retro rear as it should fit into the factory dovetail in back very nice. But the front sight brings me to my point.
The XS dovetail front is .65deg x .330 x .075 (according to my Brownells catalog). I am thinking of replacing it with a Novak serrated front sight that is .65deg x .330 x .070. I understand the .65 angle of the cut but what are the other two measurements? Will the Novak replacement work or should I use another sight?
Thanks,
Ross
