FWIW. I have a Springfield 1911 loaded in 9mm. Accurate, comfortable and reliable with my handcast 135g bullets. Works with .38 Super mags. Shoots just a tad high, great for 6'oclock hold. 1911's have the accuracy edge among your choices. You can improve them as you gain knowledge and experience. They can be a money pit, tho, if you're not careful.

There are lot's of good choices for a full size 9mm out there:
Beretta 92
Browning Hi-Power
Sig 226
CZ75/85
S&W 5906 (only used available)
S&W M&P
Glock 17
Springfield XDM
Ruger P85 or P95
Bersa Thunder 9 (a great lower cost choice when buying new)
I'm sure there are more, just can't think of any right now.

All these guns are accurate and reliable. They do have different ergonomics, so you are going to have to shoot them or at least fondle them a bit before you decide whick is best for you.

If you like all steel pistols I'd take a look at the CZ 75B or BD (or the 85B which is the ambi version of the 75B) and the STI Spartan V 9mm for a great entry level 1911.
Onother good pistols for the price are the Stoeger Cougar 8000, the Tanfoglio Witness, the turkish Canik, the FEG HP and others.
