You can own them. They are just really hard to get and the ones you do find usually sell for 3-5 times what the MSRP is.

^Thank you for the heads up. Now, I really know I won't be looking for a Kel-Tec or another gun not approved in Cali. I'd have to do that private party transfer thing. I didn't know how restrictive Cali is until I started researching CCW laws and pistols. I recently discovered that a CCW license is nearly impossible to get in my county. I guess I should have researched the laws before researching the guns.

Head over to www.calccw.com and www.californiaccw.org for information about obtaining a CCW in CA. Depending on which county you live in, you may have a decent chance of getting a CCW permit.

You could always become a movie star, politician, leftist political activist or other elitist, then you could easily get a CCW license while the lowly "regular folks" suffer.
