I'm working on a Saiga of mine, and I'd love for it to have Galil-style thumb safety. I think I could make thumb safety of my own, but the only way I can figure it out is to have be rear to fire, foward to safe. This is the opposite of the way that I'd like for it work. While looking around on the internet I found this:
On the semiauto version, through use of a two-piece hinged bar inside the receiver, the rearmost position of this selector is safe and pushing forward with the thumb will place the weapon in the firing mode, marked "F."
Soooo, does anyone have a picture or diagram of this "two-piece hinged bar" or know where I could buy one? I've got access to a machine shop, so I could fabricate it, but first I've got to know what it ought to look like.
