So, I uploaded a little video yesterday about shooting the Garand and then suddenly my email box was flooded with notifications of people watching and commenting on my video. I had no idea what was going on, until somebody told me that, for reasons I still don't understand, the video was featured on YouTube's main/home page.

I finally figured out that if I signed out of my YouTube account, I could see the YouTube main/home page, and ... yup ... sure enough: my little video.

It was a hoot yesterday reading the comments, you might get a kick out of them too.

As of this morning, my video is still a featured video on the YouTube main/home page and has been viewed over 100,000 times, in less than 24 hours!

Cool for the Garand and 1903. It is interesting to notice in a good number of comments people have never seen or heard a Garand.

Here's the video, if you want to take a look at it:

Good video and editing quality. The graphics make it look professionally done. Next time I would use microphones that have windscreens. It's hard to hear you talk with the wind gusts overpowering the audio. That and the gunshots seems to max out the mics as well to the point where they cut out. The audio quality is honestly as poor as the video quality is great.

Good content, good video, poor audio. 2/3 still gets a thumbs up in my book.

EDIT, I read some of your followup comments about it being an iPhone video. Not bad I suppose for a device that's not really designed for film-making. I just assumed due to the high quality of the video itself and the editing that you were using some professional equipment.

Nice video but I would have liked to also see the target. The trouble with Youtube is the comments always seem to degrade into kindergarden level crap in short order. Too bad a maturity test can't be required before public posting on the internet. Very nice rifles too!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Still good though :).

PTMCCAIN, I subscribed to your channel. Look forward too see what you upload next :D .

Thanks for the comments, yes, the sound is not the best. I actually added an external stereo microphone to the iPhone with one of those "fuzzy" wind screen things. so much for that. I get better gunshot sounds just through the iPhone 4S' internal microphone, as you'll see in a video I'm going to be putting up later today.

grate video!!

Thanks for the link the video is grate soon i will post a video with my
m1 carbine 1945.
