I put a S/K scope mount I bought off Fulton Armoury on my 1955 HRA.
The nice thing about the scope mount is that it also has a rear peep sight
built in. I put on a Tasco 3X9 Pronghorn scope, probably 30 yrs. old.
I wanted my shots to stay right about 1.25" because the scope sets about that far to the left. Then I can just aim slightly left at all ranges. Have only shot at 50 an 110 yds. for right now, but next time out would like to hit the 250, 340 an 540 yd. targets. After hitting twice to the left of center, adjusted an then put 6 rds in at just under 1.5".....later I put 8 rds. in a 3" cirlcle, with 5 rds at 1.0", 7rds at 1.75" an the 8th round drifted to the edge.
This is 1967 Greek HXP...even open sight shooting seems I always get 1 or 2 rds to drift...thinking about buying a scale an weighing bullets. Bet I got a couple out of each enbloc that weighs more off than the others....an I just put on a cheek pad an it feels a little better than not having cheek on the stock. Anyway I think this is a good product for scope shooting with a Garand,
