I've been thinking lately about getting some rifles in case things go real bad in this country for protection. What are good rifles to get for that situation.

For assault rifles, I've been looking at the civilian version of the HK - 416, Masada and Sig 556. What are your thoughts on those guns? Any better ones? I'm going for those rifles that are easy to maneuver with (shorter barrel or overall length), magazine with 30 round clip and recoil should be minimal, easy to find ammunition for.

Sniper rifle should have common ammo, less recoil, and faster reload time.

    Thanks in advance.

    Stop.

    Take a deep breath.

Judging by the content of your other posts you are completely new to firearms.

My advice to you would be to familiarize yourself with local and federal laws, learn the basic rules of gun safety and purchase a basic .22 rim-fire rifle.

    Look into Project Appleseed.

Seeing a few of the OP's posts, he must be trolling.

Calling a civilian gun an assault rifle or sniper rifle, and calling a magazine a clip won't get you any answers.

I think you should get a Browning M2, aka Ma Deuce.

If things go really badly in this country, "assault" and "sniper" rifles will not be the right answer to any of the more pressing questions.

Still, if they were, picking boutique, uncommon ones would be an odd choice.

In the end, the standard answer is always best: Howdah pistol!
