Zimmerman, the continued up and downs on immigration, .gov scandles, MARS right before Ramadan.
Lots of interesting stuff out there right now.
Irregardless of the cause of any civil unrest, it is good to have a plan to make it home.
An SOP with some folks you work with would be a nice tool to have if you ever needed it.

They think that if Zimmerman (the guy in Florida, not the public key encryption guy) is convicted there will be a WASP uprising.

If he isn't convicted, I would also venture to guess we would see nationwide protesting / rioting as well.

Consider what happened in 1994 when those four police officers were acquitted in the Rodney King beating trial. I would have my car under lockdown, and just likely leave the area for a few days after that verdict came out if I lived in a heavily metropolitan area such a Detroit or Chicago. I think this time around things will be worse too.

Quite some time ago, we ended discussion of the Zimmerman case. We have a thread open for discussion of the trial and laws, but that's it.
