Worse than that, the don't even appear to be familiar with the more recent McDonald v. Chicago where the 2nd got incorporated to the states. That decision means that a state can no longer violate the 2nd Amendment, just like the feds can (supposedly) not violate it. Thanks to McDonald, this law is the equivalent of Illinois passing a law that requires all newspapers run their articles through a government office prior to publishing- a clear violation of the 1st Amendment.Apparently they're not familiar with the results of DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA v.
