Do +P or +P+ ammo manufacturers use "extra tough" primers?
No, but alot of 9mm Major shooters use small rifle primers in their loads which would be similar as they have a thicker cup. Major is way above the +P nonsense.

Range Update-
I just shot 400 of these primers in 2 Caniks, a VP9, a PPQ and a Walther PDP (Yes it's everything reviwers say it is). All went bang flawlessly, no difference in accuracy or recoil. The dimples where the firing pins hit were medium depth, and all very consistent in shape.
I"m satisfied, now not nervous about the 5k I bought, and may buy again.
I did like how consistent they were in ignition and produced good average size groups for me. I reserved remaining Fiocchi primers for well used brass with slightly enlarged primer pockets to extend the life of brass.
Thanks for making this thread and the updates. Like you, I'm also waiting for my NFT order. Glad to know they should work.
AFT still says end of July for approval.Someone started a thread yesterday for Noah @ NFT to respond with an update.....
I know this isn't the thread....
But, where did it go....?
Noah said he will give 1st round purchasers an option to order more of them before shipping to anyone else. If this all works out, I am ordering more

UPDATE: I solved the tight seating issue, no Oneshot needed now. When I was doing my 2k round press cleaning, I noticed a buildup of hard powder/ dust(?) residue on the bottom of the priming cup. No telling how long it had been building up, as it was exactly the same color of black as the priming arm itself. I had to sand it off. Now the primers seat normally, without catching the primer pocket.Interesting, maybe I'll figure out an easy way to hit the primer pockets with Oneshot.
Update: It just occurred to me that I will need to spray the primers (Face down), as I am using a turret. I'll try it today and post results.
... informed me that the pallet of primers held for me had been inadvertently used for his loading operations (he is an ammo manufacturer) and claimed it was a mistake.
... I’ve already paid the taxes on your orders, had merchant services fees taken out and the administrative costs associated exist as well. After discussion with my accountant we have reached a price of $.19/primer to cover my costs and ensure I don’t end up losing money on this deal. At $.19 I stand to basically break even.
... Anyone who wants out and requests a refund will get one ... Noah Brooks, North Fork Tactical, Owner
Yeah, I don't like the sound of that either. I'm not pissed AT Noah, I'm pissed FOR Noah.
Looks like a business deal gone bad ...
