Ok so today at work I am talking to one of the girls that works in floral. I was using one of their whetstones to sharpen my EDk.

We have had discussions on this before and she says that she likes to have a knife handy in her pocket. This surprised me greatly because she looks and talks like one of those girls that is a liberal hippy.

So back to today. She says there is nothing like the feeling of a .45 in your hand and I was said, "wait one second, seriously?" And she says, "seriously". So she explains how she loves target shooting but does not have any guns of her own but wants some. I was like holy crap I love going shooting. We need to go shooting sometime very soon. So we are.

That just made my day and I had to share it with you. :D

is she a packer's season ticket holder, too?

some fellas is lucky, some aint, and some just make me sick..

take a nickel's worth of free advice though.. wait a few dates before you show her your gun. :D

And you didn't get on bended knee at the statement?! Are you a fool?! Skip the ring...buy her a Colt Commander and wrap it. Put the lock key in a ring box and go propose!!!

:banghead:

this kind of thing isnt supposed to happen!!

someones getting their but kicked...and its not any of you!

wait, let me try that again.

Have fun. I agree, range date is in order.

Reminds of an incident in class a couple weeks ago. Couple guys were talking politics and one guy was spouting off about how much he likes candidate x for various reasons. I commented that I don't trust candidate x because of his wishy-washy stance on guns.

Guys immediately started mocking me for being a liberal and a Hilary supporter, and how gun laws don't really stop crime, and they just want to take the guns from guys at the range blah blah blah...

I just quietly smiled and said "yep, and I'm one of the people at the range, and I'd like to keep it that way, which is why I don't support candidate x, who does not have a strong enough record of being pro-gun."

They were shocked. They have a little more respect now. ;)

Def not Austin, TX :(

Ok, so range date, if shes got cleavage = double positive. First off, it's cleavage. Second, everyone at the range will get a kick out of her jumping around trying to get hot brass out of her boobs.

1st Hand experience. .45 shell casings are quite hot and do leave burn marks!

Sheesh. Did we have to go downhill that fast ? I wouldn't get a kick out of watching somewhere get burned. And hardly something that would make her a new shooter.

Congrats on meeting somebody cool. And if you do take her to the range and she is showing cleavage, be a nice guy and warn her :)

I am curious, do we have any idea how many women read these boards? The assumption of 99 percent of the posters seems to be we are all male, wonder how true that is.

Well the thing is, i told her closed toe shoes and no cleavage. And she decided not to listen. It was a big told you so moment, and she thought it was funny too, so why are you getting your panties in a bunch over random internet girl?

Thanks Drew, I was a bit shocked at that comment. B.E. seems also to have not noticed that this is already an experience shooter. She can probably handle her brass just fine.

And, ftr, I'm a woman. That was kind of the point of my story a coupla' posts up. Sorry I didn't make that more clear. D'oh!

And we're going to go shooting again this Christmas break, and we'll probably joke about it on the way there. But i'll share with her your condolences if you insist.
