Ok. So I am in a pretty chipper mood. I met a girl this week who is really good looking and on the petite side. She emails me and asks ME if I want to do something this weekend  Not that there is anything wrong with that...quite ok with me :D So I agreed and gave her my phone number, because I don't know her real well and didn't want to end up hearing, "Well, I made other plans," or who knows what else. You know how some girls can be. So I left the ball in her court.

She called earlier and we were chatting. She said she was working at the church, but she will be done @ 7:30 and we made plans to meet later. We go on talking, because she said she is just sitting in her car and it is boring.

So I say, "What kind of work can you do for the church while you are sitting in your car?" She responds by telling me that she directs traffic, so on and so forth. In the middle of her explanation, "Oh I told you I was a deputy right."

 Laughing, I respond "No!" I am thinking in my head...do I want to date a deputy???..while she is talking about being a motorcycle cop (which is cool as hell). So I decide to feel out what side of the fence she is on with a little gun knowledge and maybe a few comments to see what kind of reaction I'll get. I wouldn't want to date someone with the ideology that supports the "guns are only for government employees, etc." idealogue.

Since Glock seems to be the token carry pistol of government agencies lately, I ask her if that is what she carries. She responds, "Yes. And I am a good shot."

+10 points

"I carry all the time even off-duty." She says.

+30 points

She goes on and elaborates about how they've converted to .40s from the Glock 19, etc., etc.

+60 points.

After scoring a perfect 100 on the informal, "Is this one of those people who are deftly afraid of guns for no reason," Quiz - I go on to tell her how nice it is to just meet someone who shoots. Not to mention that fact that she is a woman :D

All I was thinking about was how the last girl I dated was "afraid" of my guns. Of course, I told her to get over it. "I've got my concealed weapon permit and I carry all the time." She got over it, but told me she didn't like it. I should've known then! :barf:

So how often do you meet a beautiful girl who not only likes guns, but likes to shoot! I am talking H-O-T-T hot. I really hope this one works out!

Wish me luck!!!

What type of motorcycle does her agency use? That is also important.

As an aside, Kawasaki announced that 2005 is the last year they plan to make their police motorcycles. Something to do with not meeting emissions standards!

Ask to see her Smith & Wesson handcuffs!

Go ahead, go out. She probably cleared you through NCIC already. ;)

Almost a year and a half ago, I had just started dating a woman I'd known for two years.

I hadn't been to a range since I was 14, so when my neighbor offered, I said yes. When I told her about it, she said the following...

"And you didn't invite me? Can I go next time... pleeeeease?" :D

In terms of how wonderful she is, I'm in paradise.

Sounds like you have a nice prospect!

More years ago than I care to mention, I met this pretty little redhead. We dated for awhile and eventually went to the range. She out shot me. We have now been married long enough to have grand kids. She can still out shoot me too!

I met this girl in class, I was trying to figure out something for us to do, I asked her if she likes shooting and that I need a range buddy, she goes "Hell yeah!" I'm in love! Turns out she likes fishing too, definitely in love.

Meeting lil miss shooter

Happened to me some 20 years ago. Been a good time. I'm more tactics and she's more bulls eye. I'm Pistol, She's Revolver. Her collection matches mine.

You would be amazed how many friends we've discovered over the years that are packers. Or would like to and are just too afraid. Specially the church folks. Shootin Society is a good one for sure. I've also ran into the other women who HATE guns and people who carry them. Not always but most of the time they have other issues, as well.

So if you find a Lady who likes the things you do who gives a rip if she out shoots you. Mine has since day one, but I run faster. :D

She goes to church, she likes guns, and she's good-lookin'? Why are you on your computer, son, go get her!

I met my fiancee at church and taught her to shoot my 10/22. She was eager to learn, and she's a much better shot than I am. We saw a gun show last night, and she told me I should go. We spent about an hour there, and she had a good time. She actually likes for me to tell her about the different types of guns. Where did I find this girl? Oh, yeah, at a little, conservative, fundamentalist-type church.

I like my girls real "girly" and I think its cute when they are scared of my guns.
Mine's as girly as they come, but she's not scared! :)

My first date with my wife (of ten years now) was a trip to the gun range. Her dad's a genuine gun "nut", although she's not terribly into guns like he is, just pretty pragmatic about them, views them as self defense tools primarily. Her dad's interest has been a big boon to our relationship as we have a good (safe) common ground to chat about. I fear things wouldn't have gone well for her husband if she'd brought home a gun hater type to meet mom and dad.

After marriage I discovered that she didn't care particularly about going to the range, was just looking for a common interest to exploit to get me to ask her out :D It worked. She had a new .38 "Charco" lightweight with a docked hammer, I had an elderly .38 Charter arms "undercover". Ahhhh wuv, twu wuv :D 6 weeks later we went to the local Justice of the Peace and got hitched. 16 months after that a new gunnie entered the world.

Good luck and best of wishes. Personally, I like my girls real "girly" and I think its cute when they are scared of my guns.

My little red head as girly as they come. Petite, pretty and a straight shooter but still girly. Put a fancy dress on her and take her anywhere and be proud she is on your arm. She ain't scared.......................

I'll betcha that little lady made a few hearts go pit-a-pat in her day :D

myrockfight,

Great story, but you left out the part about waking up at the end... ;)

Seriously, that sounds pretty good.

On February 13th my wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Our first “official†date (we first met when we were ten) was to a small-bore match at my high school. On the way home she mention that she was on her school’s shooting team. I was surprised to hear that since she went to an all girls’ Catholic high school. To this day we still shoot, hunt, and fish together. They are out there lucky are we who find them or have them find us.

She who must be obeyed is also a gun girl. WHile she still hasn't gone duckhunting and would rather shop. She does go shooting with our son and me. Have a good time!

i bet these gun-lovin women are going to the same church that is based around not dating me!

Yeah, that's the one! Sundays at ten; feel free to come by. All the girls there told me they just wanted to be friends with you. ;)

Grasshopper, what she does for a living or whether or not she likes to shoot or not doesn't matter. I know all kinds of women who shoot or don't care if I do, but I don't want around all the time. There's much more involved.
