I was at a gun show in Tucson yesterday and one of the vendors had an end table set up with a girl (their daughter?) selling Girl Scout cookies. The only problem I saw was that she was selling them for $4.00 a box rather than the regular price of $3.00. I wonder where the extra dollar is going?

Huh, here in MA Girl Scouts normally sell for $4 this year, maybe the price went up?

The GS cookies are $4.00 a box here in IL. My daughter just finished selling them as well. I think that's great they were selling at the gun show! They should give out deals, with purchase of 2 pistols receive a free box of GS cookies. :D

They were selloing for $3 a box here in NY. They also put someting in them making them VERY ADDICTIVE :D

Cool that they were selling thme at a gunshow. Wonder what the GS heirarchy would think of that? They were $4 here in Pa. My wife bought 2 boxes. None for me :( ,I`m doin the low carb thing. Lost 40lbs. though! :D Marcus

I bought them for 3.00 a box and one county over my Mom bought them for 3.50 a box...........

Heh, funny thing is... I clicked on this thread while I have a box of "Lemon Coolers" next to me.

Girls scout cookies help the mind when studying for a finance midterm. :)

As for y im on THR while studying... well, jus' call it research... :D

Running $3.50 a box around here. Bought some yesterday. Almost made me feel old because when she told me the price I almost said one of those "Back in my days" statements.

For the last 6 years I've been trying to stock up on Thin Mints and I have yet to find a damn Girl Scout! I'm seriously jonesing for my fix! :banghead:

As girls cout cookies are dangerous to the waistline challenged, I wonder if the girls were doing background checks before selling..

Must be that gun show loophole.

I don't know how much they are here, I just eat them. :D

Speaking of promotional food, I am in bad need of some more Blue & Gold Sausage, you can't beat it. Well, wait a minute, I forgot about venison sausage. YUM

Miss Demeanors, you don't live in Illinois!

You live in Chicago. ;)

Down here in Illinois, they're $3.00 per box.

TUCSON (Associated Press) - Police are investigating reports that children are being enlisted to act as unlicensed dealers at local gun shows to sell hi-sugar/low nutritional items in order to raise money. Girls as young as 10 are recruited into the ranks of this uniformed, paramilitary, survivalist-type organization. The ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Center are considering taking legal action against the parents of the victimized girls.

"This outfit indoctrinates girls using God, country, honor, service and other buzzwards," stated Dorris Mees, chief mucky-much of the SPLC. "These girls are being taught how to use weapons at outdoor training camps and also paramedic skills of the kind that no law-abiding citizen would really need."

:barf:

You know, the sad thing about it is that the Girl Scouts could charge $10 a box for those damned Thin Mints, and I'd pay it!

And, since no one has asked the age old question...

If Brownies are 25 cents, how much are Girl Scouts? I need some yard work done... :D

I was about to be really surprised that a girl scout troop was set up at a gun show. Not so surprising thought that a father was selling them for his daughter. As liberal as the girl scouts have become I would indeed be surprised to see them set up at a gun show.
