Yeah, I have a Beretta 92s that has the same superfluous nonsense stamped into its frame.

I also have 3 Hi Powers that don’t. The Girsan is trying to be a Hi Power. Unless they are mandated to do this, they should have come up with a better option

Succeeding. It's mechanically identical to a Mark III FN.

Some silly disclaimer on the frame is fine with me, for the very affordable price.

21 out 23 of my center fire pistols don't have those markings. I find them unnecessary and ugly.
But unfortunately we live in a world in which Tide releases PSAs so moron teenagers won't eat Tide pods.
