I just obtained a new Flintlock Rifle. Im pretty sure its a custom made rifle. On the butt of the rifle it has a metal plate that has "This Rifle Made By J Glauser Gun Smith" etched on it. Also at the very end of the barrel on one side it has "Death Enters" etched on it and on the other side it says "Death Leaves". Anyone have any idea or know about this gun smith or his rifles? I would post some pictures of it but I don't have a scanner or cam.

It's new in that it's not an antique? I've flipped through my books by Whisker or Chandler and found nothing.

If it is new, it may be possible to locate the gunsmith through the NMLRA or another contemporary organization.

Its not new but its not real old like revolutionary war times. It was my grandpa's. I'd say its probably from like the 1950s maybe Im not sure though I can't find anything on it.

20th Century reproduction. BTW, didn't find it in Ned Robert's book either. Will try writing someone I know at Colonial Williamsburg.
